The highlight of our stay was the exceptional service provided by Pierre at the front desk. Despite a minor room accommodation issue, he handled the situation with grace and professionalism, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. His dedication and attention to detail truly set this ryokan apart. Located in the serene Gion district, the ryokan offers a tranquil retreat amidst the bustling city. the spacious Twin Western Style room we stayed in was immaculately clean and thoughtfully designed, providing a perfect sanctuary after a day of exploring Kyoto's cultural treasures. For those seeking a taste of Japanese culture, Kyomachiya Ryokan Sakura Urushitei offers an array of activities such as a tea ceremony and Ikebana, allowing guests to immerse themselves in traditional practices. the hotel's convenient location, within walking distance of Shijo station, makes it an ideal base for exploring Kyoto's iconic landmarks like the Todaiji Temple and Daibutsu statue.
